logoFestival Green Machine strives to give disabled or disadvantaged people the same chances in life as everyone else in return for some work.

All our teams whether paid or voluntary will have at least 40% disabled or disadvantaged people doing the same jobs as the rest of team and just as well!!

Started in 2009 at Reading Festival, Festival Green Machine has a team of people who volunteer to work at festivals in return for the usual festival volunteering perks (nice toilets and showers are always a bonus!! and of course your free entry wristband).

Laura Pando, Sustainability Manager for Festival Republic said "Over the years Green Machine has offered via our volunteering schemes some really great work opportunities to disadvantaged people and people with learning disabilities. It's wonderful to see them all working together at our music festivals as part of a team. It is for us a fantastic opportunity to both get some help through volunteers and give something back to the local community. Green Machines work and efforts can only be recommended."

gmPic1In 2014 over 100 people volunteered at Festivals including Reading , Bestival, Guilfest and others.

gmPic3Our ethos is simple "To contribute to sustainability and minimum landfill at all events whilst giving accessibility and equality to disabled and disadvantaged people".

We can help your company/event whether it is supplying volunteers for recycling or other event duties. From consultancy to management of your event which will maximise the landfill reduction.
