Stay Up Late - Say no to bedtimes

Supporting people to be able to lead the lives they want and to Stay Up Late!
Background

Stay Up Late is a national campaign and charity.

Stay Up Late helps people with a learning disability and people with autism to stay up late, if they want to.

Stay Up Late found that lots of people with learning disabilities are unable to lead full and active social lives.

Support workers usually finish by 10pm.

So lots of people with learning disabilities and autism leave events and go home at 9pm or earlier.

Everyone has the right to stay up late and have some fun if they want to.

Stay Up Late Berkshire - The Night Owls

The Ark is working in partnership with staff from Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust who are volunteering their time to support Stay Up Late.

What can we support
Volunteers help organise activities and events.
Our volunteers are not replacement carers/support workers so if you would usually require support to go out and about then you will still require somebody to support you at Stay Up Late events.
Activities and Events
We plan the activities based on what the people who come tell us they want to do.
We have been bowling, laserquest, theatre trips, cinema (indoor and outdoor), pubs, theme parks, trampolining and lots more...
We meet up about once a month, if you would like to find out more ask us where we are going next!
